Hetzner Cloud products in Ashburn run on our own Hetzner servers in a third party data center park in the United States. The location is about a 45-minute drive from the U.S. capital, Washington, D.C., and is Hetzner Cloud’s first location outside Europe.
Data security is our top priority. For this reason, we are the only ones who control the use of our Hetzner servers in the Ashburn data center.
We host our cloud instances in our own data centers in Germany and Finland. In Ashburn, Virginia (USA), we also provide AMD-based cloud servers and cloud capabilities. LOAD BALANCERS
We know that after having a fast, reliable and secure hosting, you need your communications through your website and emails, to be effective, so you will have the security of sending emails that will reach the inbox and avoid dealing with spam in your mail.
PRIMARY IPS
Assign primary IPs to your server to connect to the Internet. Or omit the primary IPs altogether for a server that only has a private network. The selected network option can be changed at any time.
NETWORKS
Enable your servers to communicate over a private network and configure complex network topologies. Ideal for running a kubernetes cluster or a database server that should not be publicly accessible.
FIREWALLS
Our stateful firewalls allow you to easily secure your infrastructure at no additional cost. Define rules to block unwanted inbound and outbound traffic. Once configured, you can assign them to as many cloud servers as you wish.
VOLUMES
The volumes provide highly available and reliable SSD storage for your cloud servers. The storage can be expanded at any time up to 10 TB (100 GB during the beta phase) and can be flexibly connected to different cloud servers.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS
All cloud servers have a maximum monthly price and an hourly rate. Your cloud server bill will never exceed the maximum monthly price. If you use the cloud server for less than one month, you will only be charged the hourly rate.
Yes, all successfully created cloud servers will be billed until they are deleted, regardless of their status. This is because we internally allocate full resources to the servers, regardless of their power status. It also allows them to start up and boot quickly.
Custom virtual servers (additional memory, additional/larger drives, etc.) are not currently available.
Servers with local storage keep all data in a local RAID10 on the host system. This provides fault tolerance in case of hardware defects. They are optimized for high I/O throughput and low latency and are particularly suitable for applications requiring fast disk access with low latency, such as databases.
Currently, we focus on the support of Linux as an operating system. However, you can install Windows yourself. We have already performed successful installations. However, there is no support for Windows.
We have launched Hetzner Cloud with the minimum functionality we consider necessary to enter the market. However, we intend to constantly add new features and services. We have designed our internal development methods and systems to be able to add more functionality.

We have recently expanded our cloud server locations to include Ashburn, Virginia (USA). We continue to explore possible options.
We currently offer a library for Go as Open Source at https://github.com/hetznercloud/hcloud-go.

It is a feature for fast, flexible and cost-effective block storage (SSD-based) that you can connect to your Hetzner Cloud Server.
Each block of data is stored on three different physical servers (triple replication).
Each customer has a predetermined limit to the number of cloud resources we provide simultaneously. If you wish to increase your limit, you can submit a request to our support team by opening a support ticket through Cloud Console. Our team will quickly review your application and, if everything is in order, will increase your limits.
